Football pundit Jamie Redknapp has heaped praise on Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo for his impressive start to the 2024-2025 English Premier League season. Semenyo, who scored in the opening week and provided an assist in AFC Bournemouth’s draws against Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United, was singled out by Redknapp for his outstanding performance.

Redknapp lauded Semenyo’s play during Bournemouth’s 125th-anniversary match against Newcastle, saying, “Semenyo on the right wing is an absolute star. He cost £10 million from Bristol City, and what a great signing he was. He is worth a fortune; such a graceful, powerful player. He’s got everything, that young man.”

Semenyo, who started as the main striker against Nottingham Forest before moving to the right wing against Newcastle, is expected to feature for the Black Stars in the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger on September 5 and September 9, respectively.
