National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer for the 2024 Presidential Elections, John Dramani Mahama, has promised to “fully activate” the SSNIT Sports Emporium, commonly known as the Bukom Boxing Arena, if his party is voted into power. Speaking at a recent rally held at the Arena, Mahama emphasized that, despite its use since its commissioning in 2016, the facility has not yet realized its full potential. He highlighted plans to enhance the Arena’s multipurpose capabilities, including its gym, hostel, restaurant, and educational facilities, to support the training and development of young boxers from across the country.
