Sudan national team coach Kwesi Appiah participated in a Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council meeting at the Technical Centre in Prampram on Thursday. As a member of the GFA Executive Council, Appiah was involved in discussions on governance, audit, compliance, and policies aimed at advancing football development in Ghana.

Appiah’s simultaneous roles as Sudan’s head coach and a key figure within the GFA have sparked controversy, particularly after the Black Stars and Sudan were drawn into the same group for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Critics are concerned about potential conflicts of interest, given his influence on decisions affecting both teams.

Despite the growing calls for him to step down from his GFA position, Appiah has indicated his intention to continue serving in both capacities.
