Ghanaian midfielder Michael Baidoo continued his impressive form, scoring in IF Elfsborg’s 3-1 win over IFK Goteborg in the Swedish top-flight on Sunday. The 25-year-old opened the scoring in the 33rd minute, finishing off a well-placed pass from Ahmed Qasem to give Elfsborg the lead at Boras Arena.
Baidoo’s influence was felt throughout his 72 minutes on the pitch, setting the stage for a dominant performance by the home team. Danish international Emil Holten added a second goal in the 58th minute, and Qasem, who had assisted Baidoo’s opener, sealed the victory with a third goal.
Baidoo’s stellar season continues, with seven goals and four assists in 19 games, solidifying his role as a key player for Elfsborg. His performance, alongside fellow Ghanaians Terry Yegbe and Jalal Abdullai, has been crucial to Elfsborg’s success in the Swedish league.
