Nsoatreman FC Disavows GM’s Remarks on Dr. Bawumia’s Campaign Promise

Nsoatreman Football Club has officially distanced itself from comments made by the club’s General Manager, Eric Alagidede, regarding a campaign promise by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer for the 2024 Ghana Presidential Elections. Dr. Bawumia had pledged to provide each Ghana Premier League club with a bus if elected.

In an interview with GHOne, Alagidede questioned the necessity of this promise, suggesting that tax rebates for sports goods would be more beneficial for clubs. However, in an official statement released on Wednesday, August 21, the club clarified that Alagidede’s comments did not represent the views of Nsoatreman FC.
