Samuel Owusu Rejoins Serbian Side OFK Beograd for the 2024/25 Season

Ghanaian winger Samuel Owusu has made a return to Europe, signing with Serbian top-flight club OFK Beograd for the 2024/25 season. The 28-year-old, familiar to Superliga fans from his previous stints with Cukaricki and Radnik Nis, has inked a deal with OFK after a brief spell with NEOM SC in Saudi Arabia.

After struggling with fitness issues in recent months, a revitalized Owusu is eager to make an impact in Serbia once again. His experience in the league and his skillful left foot make him a valuable addition to Beograd.

Owusu is also eyeing a return to the Black Stars as he embarks on his third stint in Serbia. The speedy winger began his European career at Radnik Nis before moving to Turkey’s Genclerbirligi in 2016. He returned to Serbia in 2017 with Cukaricki, where his performances caught the attention of then Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah.

A 17-time capped Ghana international, Owusu represented the Black Stars at the 2019 and 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
