Ben Nunoo Mensah Enstooled as Nɔyaa Mantsɛ (Development Chief) of the Ga State

Ben Nunoo Mensah, President of the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC), has been officially enstooled as Nɔyaa Mantsɛ (Development Chief) of the Ga State. The ceremony took place on Sunday at the Ga Mantsɛ Stool House in Accra, where he was given the title “Nii Kojo Ashiefie Papanyira I” in recognition of his significant contributions to sports and national development.

As Nɔyaa Mantsɛ, Nunoo Mensah, who also serves as a Director of Barari DV Ghana Lithium Concession, will assist in advancing key development projects initiated by King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II of the Ga State.

The event, attended by sports dignitaries, traditional leaders, and government officials, highlighted Nunoo Mensah’s dedication to sports and youth development. King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II praised Nunoo Mensah for his commitment and advised him to remain focused and selfless in his new role, ensuring that his efforts benefit the entire Ga State.

Nunoo Mensah expressed his gratitude and dedication to continuing his work in promoting sporting excellence. He also highlighted his focus on supporting educational initiatives for the youth of the Ga State, particularly through the King Tackie Teiko Tsuru Education Fund.

In addition to his role with the GOC, Nunoo Mensah has a distinguished history in sports administration, having led various sporting federations in Ghana. The Ga State also has a Development Queenmother, Madam Elizabeth Naa Anyema Nunoo, who was enstooled in August 2018. A coronation ceremony for the new development royals is anticipated in the near future.
