Black Stars Concede Late Again, Settle for 1-1 Draw with Niger in 2025 AFCON Qualifiers

For the second consecutive match in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, Ghana’s Black Stars conceded a late goal, resulting in a 1-1 draw with Niger. Played in Berkane, Morocco, due to venue constraints in Niger, Ghana took the lead through a stunning Alidu Seidu strike just before halftime. However, Niger equalized in the 81st minute when Oumar Sako capitalized on a loose ball in the box. Despite late efforts from Inaki Williams, Mohammed Kudus, and Majeed Ashimeru, Niger’s goalkeeper kept them at bay, leaving Ghana without a win after two matches.
