Spanish football giants FC Barcelona have confirmed the signing of Dreams FC midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah on a one-year loan deal. The 18-year-old Ghanaian Under-20 star will remain with the Catalan club until June 30, 2025, with an option for a permanent transfer at the end of the loan period.
Issah has been assigned to Barcelona’s B Team, Barça Atletic, where he will play under head coach Albert Sanchez. He joins fellow Ghanaian David Oduro, who recently signed from Accra Lions on the final day of the transfer window.
Following a standout 2023-2024 season with Dreams FC, which included an MTN FA Cup win and an impressive run to the semifinals of the CAF Confederation Cup, Issah had been linked with several top European clubs, including English Premier League side Brentford. He scored four goals in 10 appearances during Dreams FC’s debut campaign in the continental competition.
