The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reported four betting companies—Soccabet, Sportybet, Football.com, and ilotbet—to the Gaming Commission of Ghana in an effort to halt unauthorized betting on Ghana Premier League (GPL) matches.

These companies are accused of offering odds on GFA-sanctioned matches without proper approval, infringing on the GFA’s legal rights and violating its regulations. In a statement, the GFA urged the Gaming Commission to investigate and stop these activities, as unauthorized betting poses a threat to the integrity of the sport.

GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku had previously warned against such practices during the 30th Ordinary Congress, emphasizing that no betting company had been licensed to take odds on GPL matches. The GFA remains open to partnerships with betting firms, provided they comply with regulations.
