Ghana’s Amida Brimah Joins Spanish Side Manresa on Short-Term Contract

Ghanaian basketball center Amida Brimah has signed a two-month contract with Spanish Basketball League team BAXI Manresa for the 2024-2025 season. The 30-year-old joins the top-flight Spanish side as a temporary replacement for the injured Bodian Massa. Brimah, who played for the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G-League and Mets de Guaynabo in Puerto Rico last season, returns to Europe with this move.

The 6’10” center has previously won the Belgian league with Oostende and played in the EuroCup with Bourg-En-Bresse. Manresa, which finished eighth in the 2023-2024 Endesa Regular Season, will benefit from Brimah’s defensive skills, as he holds the NBA G-League record for most blocks and briefly played for the Indiana Pacers.
