Hasaacas Ladies Haven’t Declined Despite WAFU Championship Exit – Bampoe Brenya

Hasaacas Ladies Football Club Brands Manager, Ohene Bampoe Brenya, has dismissed claims that the club is in decline following their early exit from the WAFU Zone B Championship. The Sekondi-based team failed to progress beyond the group stage, missing out on the chance to compete in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

In an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Bampoe Brenya acknowledged the challenges posed by the absence of four key players but emphasized that the club is in a rebuilding phase, focusing on developing a new generation of stars.

“It’s not accurate to say we’ve declined. We are in the process of building and made significant progress by winning the league again,” he said. “The fact that we didn’t win the WAFU Zone B doesn’t mean we’ve gone down. This is an improvement from the last two years, and we will build on the 2024 WAFU Zone B experience.”

Hasaacas Ladies finished third in Group B, but their inferior goal difference prevented them from advancing further in the tournament.
