Hearts Fans Demand Coach Ouattara’s Dismissal After Disappointing Season Start

Accra Hearts of Oak supporters are calling for the dismissal of head coach Aboubakar Ouattara following the team’s poor start to the season. Despite narrowly avoiding relegation last season with a 3-2 win over Bechem United, the Phobians opened their current Ghana Premier League campaign with a 1-0 defeat to debutants Basake Holy Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The loss sparked outrage among fans, who chanted for Ouattara’s immediate removal, criticizing his inability to address the team’s struggles. Security had to intervene to protect the technical team as tensions escalated. Assistant coach Nana Yaw Amankwah later apologized to the fans, urging calm and promising a turnaround in upcoming matches. Hearts of Oak’s next game is against Heart of Lions at the Kpando Sports Stadium.
