It’s Really a Pity” – Otto Addo Reacts to Baba Yara Stadium Ban

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has expressed his disappointment following CAF’s decision to ban the Baba Yara Sports Stadium from hosting international or Category 3 football matches until its facilities are upgraded. Speaking at the CAF Coaches Symposium in Abidjan, Côte D’Ivoire, Addo lamented the situation, emphasizing how much the team enjoys playing in front of their home fans.

The stadium’s poor pitch quality has been a concern, especially after Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Angola in a 2025 AFCON qualifier. Addo acknowledged the unfortunate circumstances but urged the team to make the best of the situation, hoping improvements will be made soon to allow the Black Stars to return to their home ground.
