Wisdom Kobena Woyome, Chairman of Ghana’s Parliament Select Committee for Youth, Sports, and Tourism, expressed his desire for stronger performances from the Black Stars in their 2025 AFCON qualifiers. In an interview with ChannelOne Sports, following Ghana’s 1-0 loss to Angola and 1-1 draw with Niger, Woyome highlighted the need for greater commitment from the players. He noted that despite playing on the same conditions as their opponents, Ghana could have done more, especially when playing in front of their home crowd. Woyome also emphasized his disappointment with the result against Niger, which he had hoped would be a smooth victory to solidify Ghana’s position in Group F.
