Raheem “Baddo” Animashaun, at just 16 years old, has made history as the youngest boxing champion in West Africa, clinching the West African Boxing Union light-welterweight title. He achieved this milestone with a 7th-round TKO victory over Ghana’s Richman Ashelley during De-Lad’s Boxing Promotions event at the NIS, National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
In only his second professional fight under De-Lad’s Boxing Promotions, Baddo now boasts a record of ten wins. The young champion expressed his ambition, stating, “This title is just a stepping stone to winning more titles in the future. I believe I have the qualities of legends like Rocky Marciano, Azumah Nelson, Manny Pacquiao, Sugar Ray Leonard, Iron Mike Tyson, and Anthony Joshua to become the undisputed champion of the world.”
