Stephen Appiah Advocates for More Opportunities for Local Players in the Black Stars

Former Ghana captain Stephen Appiah has urged for home-based players to be given more opportunities in the national team. He believes they can compete with foreign-based players if provided the confidence to showcase their talent. His comments come after a similar call by Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu. The Black Stars are currently struggling in their 2025 AFCON qualifying campaign, with one draw and one loss so far.
