WKU-GKBA African Open 2024 Set for Accra Sports Stadium on September 7

The African Open 2024 PRO Fight Night is scheduled to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium’s Sports Hall on Saturday, September 7, 2024. Organized by Steavano Tuekpe, Vice President of the Ghana Kickboxing and Combat Sports Association and WKU Africa, the event will feature an exciting lineup of Boxing, Kickboxing, and Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) matches.

The official launch will be held at Decathlon Kawukudi on Thursday, under the banner of the World Kickboxing Union (WKU). Last year’s inaugural edition, held in Tema, showcased five combat sports including taekwondo, karate, judo, kickboxing, and MMA, with standout performances from Joe Lamptey and Serlom Darko.

This year’s event promises thrilling action, with the Accra Sports Stadium hosting what is expected to be a highly competitive fight night.
