Yussif Basigi Appointed Head Coach of Tanzanian Champions Simba Queens

Tanzanian football club Simba Queens have officially announced Yussif Basigi as their new head coach. The club shared the news on their X handle on Wednesday, September 25, welcoming the experienced Ghanaian coach and wishing him success in his new role.

Basigi, who signed a one-year contract, joins Simba Queens after departing Ghana Women’s Premier League side Hasaacas Ladies. At 52, he brings a wealth of experience to the team as they look to continue their domestic success and make a mark on the continental stage.

During his time with Hasaacas Ladies, Basigi led the club to four league titles and won the inaugural WAFU B Women’s Champions League. He also guided the team to the final of the first CAF Women’s Champions League in Egypt, showcasing his impressive coaching credentials.
