The Black Stars of Ghana will commence training at the Accra Sports Stadium today in preparation for their vital 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying return leg against Sudan. After a goalless draw in their first meeting on Thursday, the team is eager to clinch a win in the upcoming fixture to enhance their chances of qualifying.
Following today’s training session, the squad will depart for Benina, Libya, on Sunday, where they will train at the Benina Martyrs Stadium on Monday. The decisive match will be played on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.
Ghana is currently third in Group F with two points from three matches. Angola leads the group with nine points, followed by Sudan with four points, while Niger is at the bottom with one point. A victory over Sudan is essential for the Black Stars as they fight to secure a spot in the 2025 AFCON, which will be hosted in Morocco.
