Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has emphasized the need for collective leadership ahead of their crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan. Mohammed Kudus has been named captain for the match, taking place on Thursday evening at Accra Sports Stadium, following Thomas Partey’s withdrawal due to injury.
Addo, however, insists that leadership on the pitch should not rest solely on Kudus’ shoulders, stating, “Kudus will lead the team, but leadership and responsibility are about all the players, not just the captain.”
Sudan currently holds second place in the group, two points ahead of Ghana, adding further importance to the upcoming fixture.
