Sudan head coach Kwesi Appiah labelled Ghana’s 2-0 loss in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers as “unfortunate” after his team’s victory at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Benghazi, Libya. The Falcons of Jediane secured the win with second-half goals, pushing Ghana to third in Group F with two points from four matches. Appiah, a former Ghana coach, expressed sympathy for his homeland but acknowledged that only one team can advance. Ghana must now win their final two games in November against Niger and Angola to keep their qualification hopes alive.
