A total of 57 referees from the Northern and Southern zones have successfully completed the mandatory fitness test at the Ghanaman Soccer Center of Excellence in Prampram, in preparation for the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League season.
The referees, consisting of 27 center referees and 30 assistant referees, participated in weekly video tests and written exams on the Laws of the Game, as required by FIFA. Led by Referee Manager Alex Kotey and instructors Louisa Amanor and Delight Alobu, the training emphasized rule amendments, positioning, and managing key aspects like tactical fouls and offside situations.
The new season is set to commence between October 18 and October 21, 2024.
