Agyemang-Badu Stresses Positives After Kotoko’s Loss to Legon Cities: “One Defeat in Eight Games Isn’t Bad”

Former Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has shown his support for Asante Kotoko’s promising start to the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, urging the team to stay focused on their achievements despite a recent 2-1 loss to Legon Cities FC.

Agyemang-Badu, who attended the match at the Legon Sports Stadium, commended Kotoko’s resilience and hard work, noting that one defeat in eight games is a strong record. “I’ve watched a lot of games, and Kotoko have been playing well. Unfortunately, they lost today, but one loss in eight games isn’t bad,” he said in a post-match interview with Sportblog.com. While he acknowledged the team’s need for further improvement, he expressed confidence in their continued growth this season.

He also addressed Kotoko’s current injury setbacks, expressing optimism that the team will only strengthen as key players return to the lineup. “Kotoko have some injuries, but with players recovering, they’ll come back stronger,” he added.

The Porcupine Warriors face Heart of Lions this Sunday, November 3, in a key Week 9 matchup at the Baba Yara Stadium. A victory could see Kotoko climb to the league’s top spot, providing a major morale boost and further advancing their title chase.
