Qatar’s Al Arabi claimed their first-ever Arab Club Basketball Championship, defeating Egypt’s Al Ittihad 81-71 in the final of the 36th edition held in Alexandria.
Mustafa Rashed led the Doha-based team with 29 points, while American forward Victor Rudd contributed significantly to the victory. Al Arabi’s triumph makes them only the second Qatari club to win the tournament, following Al Rayyan’s victory in 2014.
