Ghana international Alexander Djiku expressed his excitement after helping Fenerbahce secure a 2-0 victory against Bodrumspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
The Black Stars defender played the entire match, delivering a solid performance that kept Bodrumspor’s strikers at bay during the clash held at Şükrü Saracoğlu Spor Kompleksi. Fenerbahce scored once in each half, earning crucial points on home soil.
Following the game, the former Strasbourg player took to social media to share his joy: “Three points. We keep going. Thanks to all our supporters,” he posted on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Morocco’s Youssef En-Nesyri opened the scoring for Fenerbahce just 15 minutes in, with experienced forward Edin Dzeko sealing the win in the second half. Since joining the Turkish giants in the summer of 2023, Djiku has become a key player, making seven appearances in the first ten Super Lig games this season under seasoned coach José Mourinho.
