Alhaji Grusah, the outspoken owner of King Faisal FC, has expressed disappointment over the absence of the promised football development plan from Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku. During an interview on Asempa FM, Grusah asked, “Kurt promised a football master plan, but where is it? We failed in Cameroon, the World Cup, Abidjan, and now we risk not qualifying for AFCON 2025.”
His comments follow Ghana’s 2-0 defeat to Sudan in the 2025 AFCON qualifiers, where defensive lapses led to goals by Ahmed Hamed Mahmoud and Mohammed Abdelrahman.
With poor performances across the national teams and a decline in domestic leagues, there is increasing pressure on the football authorities to fulfil their promises.
