Asamoah Gyan Postpones All Regional Games to 2025

Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has announced the postponement of the All Regional Games, initially scheduled for this year, to 2025. The event, launched in July 2024 to scout and nurture sporting talent across Ghana, had already begun trials to select athletes aged 18 to 23.

In a statement released on October 17, Gyan explained that the delay would allow organizers to create “a bigger and more impactful event.” He assured registered athletes that their data is secure, and they will be prioritized for the rescheduled event.

The All Regional Games, which aim to identify athletes for international competition, will feature nine sports disciplines, including football, athletics, basketball, and e-sports. Regional trials will continue for both existing and new participants.

Gyan, who stepped down from political activities earlier this year, remains committed to promoting youth sports development in Ghana.
