Black Stars Arrive in Libya for Crucial AFCON Qualifier Against Sudan

The Black Stars of Ghana have landed in Libya ahead of a must-win second-leg clash against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. This match follows a 0-0 draw in the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, where Ghana dominated but failed to break through Sudan’s defense.

Currently in third place in Group F with just two points from two games, Ghana faces increasing pressure to secure a win to boost their chances of qualifying for the tournament in Morocco. The team, led by coach Otto Addo, completed their final training session in Accra before heading to Libya. Preparations will continue with a session at the Martyrs of February Stadium ahead of the decisive match on Tuesday at 13:00 GMT.

Facing a determined Sudan team coached by former Ghana boss Kwesi Appiah, the Black Stars must rise to the challenge and deliver a crucial victory to keep their AFCON hopes alive.
