Boniface and Adeyemi See Market Value Rise in Latest Bundesliga Update, While Leroy Sané Faces Downgrade

In a recent market update by renowned stats platform Transfermarkt, Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface has seen a significant boost in his market value, now estimated at a career-high €45 million—a €5 million increase from before. This rise follows an impressive 15 months for Boniface, who was valued at €12 million when he joined Leverkusen from Union Saint-Gilloise last year for €20 million. His strong performance in the Bundesliga has propelled his value to €40 million as of October 2023.

The 23-year-old striker has already made a mark this season, scoring six goals and providing one assist in nine appearances, contributing to Leverkusen’s historic league and cup double. Boniface now ranks as the 14th most valuable player in the Bundesliga, third at Leverkusen, and second among Nigerian players, trailing only Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen.

Boniface isn’t alone in seeing a rise; Bayern Munich’s new signing Michael Olise is now valued at €65 million, up €10 million, while Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi has increased to €35 million, a €7 million rise. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush is also making headlines with a new value of €40 million, an €18 million increase, making him one of Africa’s most valuable players.

Conversely, former Manchester City star Leroy Sané has experienced a €10 million downgrade, now valued at €60 million, along with Bayern teammate Kingsley Coman, who is now at €40 million due to a challenging year plagued by injuries. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala and Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz maintain the top spot as the highest-valued players in the Bundesliga at €130 million each, followed by England’s Harry Kane at €100 million and Dutch talent Xavi Simons at €80 million.
