CAF President Motsepe Urges Super Eagles to Play in Libya Amid Safety Concerns; Nigerian Minister Rejects Request

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has pressured Nigeria’s Super Eagles to continue with their AFCON qualifier against Libya in Benghazi, despite safety concerns following several incidents. The Nigerian team’s flight was diverted to a small airport, and they were left stranded without support. Nigeria’s Sports Minister, John Owan Enoh, responded by prioritizing the team’s safety, rejecting CAF’s request to proceed with the match.
