Cameroon’s Coach Declares War as Team Prepares for Africa Elite Boxing Championships in DR Congo

Cameroon’s national boxing team, led by head coach Alain Didier Ngatcha, is set to compete in the Africa Elite Men and Women Boxing Championships in Kinshasa, DR Congo, from October 14-27, 2024. Despite the absence of two gold medallists from last year, flyweight Reine Ngoune and super-heavyweight Zacharie Mvogo, the coach, has named a team of nine determined boxers. The squad includes experienced medallists like Tsimi Victorine Omengue and Keuye Bernadette on the women’s side, and Marcial Wouang and Mouhamane Issouhou for the men. Newcomers like Doriane Nyangono, Saagman Minko, and Georges Beb are also expected to shine. Ngatcha remains confident in his team’s readiness and has vowed that Cameroon will make a strong impact in Kinshasa.
