Former Black Stars coach CK Akonnor has expressed his confidence in the team’s ability to secure a convincing victory against Sudan in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. Following a goalless draw in the first leg, Akonnor has urged Ghanaians to support current coach Otto Addo and the team as they prepare for the return fixture in Libya.

Speaking to Joy Sports, Akonnor acknowledged the challenging situation but remained optimistic about Ghana’s chances, stating, “This Ghana side is capable of winning convincingly.” He emphasized the importance of unity and backing the team during this critical period. Ghana must win all their remaining matches to stay in contention for AFCON 2025 qualification.
