Crystal Palace is reportedly revisiting a potential move for Nigerian midfielder Raphael Onyedika, valued at €30 million by Club Brugge, according to Sportblog247.com via Tribal Football. The 23-year-old’s impressive performances and physical style have attracted renewed interest from Premier League clubs, with Palace seeking midfield reinforcements after a challenging start to the season.
Onyedika played a key role in Brugge’s recent league title victory and their run to the Europa Conference League semi-finals. While known for his disciplined play, he has encountered recent disciplinary setbacks with two red cards in his last five matches. These incidents, though, were isolated cases, marking his first red cards in 71 Belgian First Division A games.
Previously, Palace had explored a summer transfer for Onyedika but did not advance. Now, following Michael Olise’s move to Bayern Munich, they may see the Nigerian as a key addition. A successful January bid, however, could require overcoming competition, as Galatasaray’s €15 million offer for Onyedika was rejected during the summer.
