Rangers striker Cyriel Dessers has been urged by Nigerian football legend Benedict Akwuegbu to keep striving for a spot in the Super Eagles squad despite his recent omission from the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) squad. Despite scoring seven goals in his first nine games for Rangers, Dessers has gone four games without finding the net and has struggled to secure a consistent place in Nigeria’s national team. Akwuegbu believes Dessers still has a chance to make his mark if he continues working hard and scoring at the club level.
