Washington, DC – D.C. United and Ghana Week DC have updated the Capital City Africa Cup, which will take place on Saturday, October 12, at Audi Field. Due to visa complications for Asante Kotoko players, the team will now compete as the “Ghana Week DC Select Side,” featuring seven Kotoko first-team players, two from Attram De Visser FC, and other top Ghanaian players based in the U.S.
The match, part of DC Ghana Week festivities, aims to showcase Ghanaian culture, tourism, and sports, strengthening ties between Ghana, the U.S., and the African diaspora. D.C. United will face the Ghana Week DC Select Side at 6 p.m. ET.
