Vice President of the Ghana Boxing Federation, Alhaji Dauda Fuseni, has encouraged the national youth boxing team, the Black Rockets, to seize the opportunity at the IBA World Youth Championship in Montenegro. Speaking during a visit to the Charles Quartey Boxing Foundation Gym, where the team trains, Fuseni urged the young boxers to represent Ghana with pride, discipline, and determination, emphasizing that this is just the start of their promising careers.
Fuseni highlighted the importance of the tournament, which will feature over 80 nations, as a chance for the Ghanaian boxers, all traveling abroad for the first time, to showcase their talent and establish themselves as future stars. He also stressed the need for humility, respect, and obedience to their trainers as key to their success.
Ghana’s team, consisting of six boxers aged 17 to 19, will be led by Coach Charles Quartey, with support from officials Mustapha Nettey, Solomon Otoo, and delegation leader Dauda Fuseni.
