Super Eagles interim manager Augustine Eguavoen has praised Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman, calling him a “world-class” player ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON 2025 qualifier against Libya. Lookman, who has been in outstanding form for both club and country, is the only African player nominated for the 2023 Ballon d’Or. He played a pivotal role in helping the Super Eagles reach the last AFCON final and Atalanta win the UEFA Europa League. Eguavoen is confident that Lookman, still young at 26, has the potential to reach even greater heights.
