Former Fenerbahçe winger Abdullah Ercan has voiced concerns over the competitive balance in the Turkish Super Lig following the arrival of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen at Galatasaray. After leaving Napoli on a season-long loan, Osimhen has joined forces with Mauro Icardi at the Istanbul club, a partnership that Ercan believes presents an overwhelming challenge to other teams in the league.
Osimhen has already made an impressive start, scoring a stunning goal in Galatasaray’s recent 5-0 victory over Antalyaspor. Speaking on A Spor, Ercan highlighted the impact of this duo, calling it “unfair competition” for the rest of the league. Osimhen himself acknowledged Icardi’s status as a football legend, expressing excitement about learning from both Icardi and Michy Batshuayi during his time at the club.
