Fisayo Dele-Bashiru Unfazed by Wearing Super Eagles’ Iconic No. 10 Jersey Previously Worn by Okocha, Mikel, and Iheanacho

Lazio midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru remains unfazed by the pressure of wearing the Super Eagles’ iconic number 10 jersey, famously worn by Nigerian football legends Jay-Jay Okocha, John Mikel Obi, and Kelechi Iheanacho. Despite the legacy attached to the number, Dele-Bashiru emphasizes his focus on performance rather than the weight of the shirt.

Speaking with Sulaiman Adebayo, Dele-Bashiru stated, “I don’t think too much about the number I’m wearing. Whether it’s number 10 or any other, my priority is giving 100 percent on the pitch and performing at my best.”

The 23-year-old made an impact during Nigeria’s recent match, scoring a decisive goal in the 86th minute after a pass from Moses Simon, helping to secure a crucial win for the Super Eagles.
