Seth Gyimah, popularly known as Freezy Macbones, secured his seventh consecutive win in Ghana by knocking out Marciano Commey in the first round at the Odwira Boxing Tournament held in Akropong, Eastern Region. Although Commey started the fight aggressively, Freezy Macbones quickly took control with a powerful blow, dominating the match. This bout served as a warm-up for Freezy as he prepares for the 2024 Paris Olympic qualifiers, where he will face Jonathan Tetteh.
In the main event, Samuel Martei Laryea defeated Nigerian Lukman Akinolugbade to claim the UBO African Super Bantamweight title. The fight was part of the 2024 Akwapem Odwira festival celebrations at the Chief’s Palace in Akropong.
