Gary Neville Defends Referee’s Decision Not to Send Off Chelsea’s Tosin Against Liverpool

Manchester United icon Gary Neville has weighed in on the controversy surrounding Chelsea’s Tosin Adarabioyo during their 2-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield. The incident occurred in the 6th minute when Tosin brought down Diogo Jota, who was through on goal. Liverpool players appealed for a red card, but referee John Brooks only issued a yellow. Despite the foul, Jota was replaced by Darwin Núñez after struggling to recover.

Neville, commenting on Sky Sports, supported the referee’s decision, stating that there were other defenders nearby and the ball was moving away, making it less clear-cut. Tosin was later substituted in the 53rd minute.
