George Afriyie Blames Ghana’s AFCON Qualifier Defeat to Sudan on Lack of Proper Planning

Former GFA Vice President George Afriyie has criticized the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Black Stars’ technical team for their lack of preparation following the 2-0 defeat to Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. The loss leaves Ghana’s qualification hopes in jeopardy, with only two points after four games. Afriyie pointed to poor planning by the coach, the GFA, and the Management Committee as key factors in the team’s struggles. The Black Stars must now win their final matches against Niger and Angola while hoping Sudan falters to secure qualification.
