George Afriyie criticizes Otto Addo’s decision to appoint Mohammed Kudus as Black Stars Captain

Former GFA vice president George Afriyie has expressed concerns over Otto Addo’s decision to make Mohammed Kudus captain of the Black Stars for the Sudan 2025 AFCON qualifier, bypassing Jordan Ayew.

Afriyie questioned the timing and reasoning behind the move, which came during a crucial period when Ghana’s qualification hopes were on the line. Following a draw and loss in the October fixtures, Ghana now risks missing the AFCON for the first time in two decades.
