George Afriyie Urges Ghana FA to Support Otto Addo Amid 2025 AFCON Qualifier Struggles

Former Ghana Football Association Vice President George Afriyie has called on the GFA to stand by head coach Otto Addo despite Ghana’s poor performance in the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. After a 2-0 defeat to Sudan, Ghana sits third in Group F with just two points, risking missing out on AFCON for the first time since 2004. While many are calling for Addo’s dismissal, Afriyie believes he should remain in charge, emphasizing the importance of continuity and supporting Addo’s project, especially with World Cup qualifiers approaching.
