Mark Addo, Vice-President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), recently visited Ghana’s Under-17 National Women’s team, the Black Maidens, as they continue an intensive five-week training camp in Bibiani. This training program, generously funded by AsanteGold Bibiani Ltd, is part of the team’s preparation for key international competitions, including qualifiers for continental tournaments.
During the visit, Addo conveyed the gratitude of GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, commending AsanteGold Bibiani Ltd for their invaluable sponsorship. “We are grateful for the commitment shown by AsanteGold Bibiani Ltd towards the development of women’s football in Ghana,” Mr. Addo expressed. “The sponsorship has enabled us to provide the necessary resources for the team’s preparation.”
The Black Maidens, under the guidance of Coach Joe Nana Adarkwa, have spent nearly three weeks focusing on skill-building and team cohesion, key elements in their quest for qualification for tournaments like the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Addo urged the players to remain disciplined and dedicated, emphasizing the importance of teamwork in achieving their goals.
The partnership with AsanteGold Bibiani Ltd underscores the company’s dedication to advancing football development in Ghana. Such collaborations are crucial for building a strong foundation for the future of Ghanaian football.
