Ghana Captain Andre Ayew Returns to Le Havre for Second Spell

Ghanaian forward Andre Ayew has rejoined Ligue 1 side Le Havre AC after being without a club since his contract expired last season. The 34-year-old, who has had stints at Olympique de Marseille, Swansea City, West Ham United, and Nottingham Forest, initially played for Le Havre last season, making a significant impact.

During his first spell with the club, Ayew scored five goals in 19 Ligue 1 appearances, helping Le Havre retain their top-flight status. Despite his contributions, the club did not immediately extend his contract. However, with Le Havre struggling in front of goal this season—having scored just seven goals—they have decided to bring Ayew back.

Ayew has signed a deal to stay with the club until the end of the season and is expected to play a crucial role in boosting the team’s attacking efforts. His return also reignites hopes of a potential recall to the Ghana national team, as strong performances at the club level could bolster his chances for future international appearances.
