Ghana’s coach Otto Addo is optimistic about securing a victory against Sudan in the return leg of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers. This statement comes after a goalless draw in the first leg, where the Black Stars demonstrated improved performance but struggled to convert their chances despite dominating possession.

In his post-match remarks, Addo, who represented Ghana in the 2006 World Cup, noted that Sudan was fortunate to escape without a defeat. He expressed confidence that the Falcons will not enjoy the same luck in their upcoming encounter.

“Sudan were very lucky today, but next time we meet them again in Libya, they will not be lucky again. We will beat them,” stated the 45-year-old coach.

As it stands, the Black Stars are third in the group with two points following the results of Matchday three. The crucial match will take place at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya, with a kick-off scheduled for 13:00 GMT.
