Team Ghana excelled at the 2024 Africa Aquatics Zone 2 Championship, held in Borteyman, winning 56 medals across junior and senior categories. Led by Abeiku Jackson, the team earned 21 gold, 20 silver, and 15 bronze medals. Standout performances came from Harry Stacey in multiple freestyle and backstroke events, as well as from young swimming prodigy Jada Yankey, who at just 12 years old, dominated her events.
Mrs. Farida Alhassan, Treasurer of the Ghana Swimming Association, praised the team’s efforts and expressed optimism for future Olympic success, highlighting Jada Yankey as a potential Olympic star.
