Ghanaian Teen Douglas Owusu Shines in Serbian First League Team of the Week

Ghanaian teenager Douglas Owusu has been named in the Serbian First League team of the week following a stellar performance over the weekend. The 18-year-old winger, starting for only the second time for FK Radnik Surdulica, played a pivotal role in their 5-0 victory over FK Indija at the EFBET Stadion.

Owusu scored his first goal for the club and provided an assist, contributing significantly to Radnik’s dominant win. He netted the second goal after Bosnian midfielder Haris Hajdarevic opened the scoring. Additional goals came from defender Matija Gasic and Vukasin Bogdanovic, while Owusu assisted Hajdarevic for his second goal, sealing the emphatic win.

Owusu joined FK Radnik from Ghanaian lower-tier side Asekem FC in the summer after an impressive season in Division One. Since the 2024-25 season began, he has made 7 appearances, registering one goal and one assist.
